iFoster's goal is to give foster children and youth the same resources and opportunities that biological children receive.  We are addressing this by bringing the highly fragmented foster care community together with the resources they need.

iFoster is the largest and most inclusive national community of people and organizations raising non-biological children. We are a free, members-only community for foster, adoptive and kinship communities; youth who have emancipated out of the system; and the organizations that support them.

We continually ask our members what resources they most use or most need. Then we reach out to organizations and businesses that provide those resources and invite them to make them available to our community in the most accessible manner we can arrange. In some cases resources are free or low-cost, in other cases eligibility criteria or application processes are customized to help our community.

We do all this across a very robust and scalable tech platform that can support millions of members and resources. Every resource is selected specifically for our community. We make sure that resource information is accurate, up-to-date, and everything that you need to know is at your fingertips. Everyone has their own personalized view, so you see the resources that are local to you, for the ages of children you have, that you are eligible to receive, and by the categories our members have requested. No sorting through resources that don’t apply, are outdated, or that you don’t have enough information to decide if you are interested. And our members rank the resources and provide comments, so you can see what other members are using and what they think.  

Last, we love to hear from our members. We love to know what is being used, and what the largest needs are. We love to get recommendations for new partners and resources. We’ll answer any questions you have, and help with any problems you encounter.
